Repairs and Improvements to the Visitor Experience for Great St Barts
BUDGET
The newly revised plans have five discrete components, that are all interlinked and are designed to run concomitantly. Together they represent vastly improved facilities for our many guests and offer a flow of travel around the interior and exterior of St Barts that presents a significantly improved visitor experience, especially for those with a disability.
Total Gift Calculator
UK tax payers benefit from the Gift Aid scheme, which adds 25p from HMRC for every pound you give. When pledged over time this really adds up. For example, a gift of £10,000 could be made by a donor paying £1,600 a year (or £133.34 a month) for five years, amounting to £8,000 to which a further £2,000 of Gift Aid can be claimed from HMRC by St Bart’s. Higher rate (40%) taxpayers can then reclaim additional relief when they submit their tax returns, reducing the net cost of their £10,000 gift to £6,000, or if they are additional rate (45%) taxpayers, the reduction is to £5,500. If we take full advantage of the Gift Aid scheme, HMRC could be our single largest funder!

The Company of Rahere
Our founder, Rahere, a courtier, pilgrim and favourite of King Henry I, still rests in the nave of Great St Bart’s and is fondly remembered for his devotion, compassion and service to the people of London. Our 900th anniversary is a moment not only to recognise the lives touched by our church since the early days of Rahere, but also a time to reflect on our responsibility as stewards of his legacy.
Legacies
Leaving a legacy will mean that, long after you’re gone, your enthusiasm for enriching life with worship, song and service to others still continues.
