Transforming our Fabric, Facilities and access to Heritage

A church with the heritage of St Bartholomew the Great does not look after itself. As stewards of this ancient building, it rests upon us to restore and preserve it, offering the warmest welcome possible for all of our visitors now and in the future. Our most recent Quinquennial Inspection (December 2021) has highlighted many areas of the church which require urgent repair and restoration. Our vision will see a great improvement to our public and private spaces, transforming St Bartholomew the Great into the beating heart of fellowship, friendship and education for all who come through our doors.

To ensure that this historic Grade 1 listed place of worship remains open and welcoming to all who visit, including people of all mobilities, we are launching a campaign to raise £3.5m.
